When it comes to helping people, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Our partners offer a wide range of support services designed to help individuals and families navigate the different challenges that arise with each phase of life. This service guide helps to identify the program(s) that will best fit a family’s needs depending on his or her unique circumstances.
Military Services
These programs provide services exclusively dedicated to supporting military members and their families. Services include financial assistance, food and clothing assistance, counseling, parenting support, education, and case management.
Child Care
Daycare programs provide child supervision and educational activities to promote academic readiness, primarily for children through age six. For grade school students, after school and summer programs offer transportation, meals, homework assistance, tutoring, character education, extracurricular learning opportunities, outdoor recreational activities and more. Residential services and foster care are available for children who are removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or other unsafe conditions. Children of separated parents can benefit from transportation and coordination services to avoid the added stress caused by discord between estranged parents.
Parent Readiness
Parenting programs ensure that children remain safe in their homes and that caregivers have the tools they need to nurture children and promote their development. These parenting education programs are designated for new and/or expecting parents, pregnant and/or parenting adolescents, single parents, and parents with children who have disabilities. The goal is to strengthen families in hopes of bringing children and parents closer together.
Youth Development
These programs focus to promote youth’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, preparing them for future growth and success. Through mentorship, trainings and resources these programs will give youth the opportunity to have successful lives.
Financial Assistance
Emergency financial assistance can be obtained to prevent utility disconnection. Educational programs offer budget assessment, financial coaching, and debt relief consultation. Income tax assistance helps families to ensure they receive the maximum tax credits for which they are eligible.
Education and Workforce Training
Resume development. Job application and interview skills training. ESL classes. GED courses. Workforce training programs.
Counseling and Support
Generalized support helps guide families to the services that will best fit their needs. Free and low-cost counseling services provide general support for mental and emotional well-being to low-income individuals and families. Specialized counseling services address issues such as child development, infant and child loss, substance abuse. Educational and support groups to address anger management, domestic violence prevention.
Health and Wellness
Health and wellness programs that promote healthy living ensure that the child/ parent live a stable and controlled life. Organizations use exercise programs, health and wellness workshops/fairs, recovery programs, and mental health programs to achieve this goal.
